Abstract

Heavy metal concentrations were analyzed in water sediments and different tissue samples of fish collected from Kalpani stream. Least concentration was shown in water and different tissue samples of fish. The results of the present research work revealed that most of the metals are particulate bound and least bioaccumulation occurred in fish. Thus metal accumulation in Common carp is within the permissible limits of FAO, WHO and U.S Recommended daily allowance (1989) which reflects low metal load in Kalpani Stream.
